Tagged by My talking Beginnings. I initially tried to wriggle out but seeing as the summer's wet and windy and there are floods in some places and we just had a power outage, I'll give it a go. Answers to my conundrums are welcome:

7 things you do not know about me:

I often wonder what the polite way of getting out chewed biscuit or groundnut paste from between your far upper teeth and your inner cheek is without resorting to a surreptitious finger

I also wonder what the correct English etiquette for guys peeing at a row of urinals is- is it permisible to keep chatting as if you were at any social function, or do you acknowledge each other with a smile and face the business at hand

I love talking to people and speaking publicly but I also often enjoy my own company and in some ways could be described as an introvert

I read whenever I can- while I am brushing my teeth, sitting on the loo, ironing, sometimes even when I am walking on the road

I know far more about the English royal family (past and present) than is healthy, wise or edifying

When I was nine, I had to perform a traditional coming-of-age ritual and I lay awake for days beforehand. In the end, as with most things that I have agonized over, it was fine

Most of the time I am very happy and contented, occasionally I am seized with a deep despair for humanity and think that everything is pointless

"coming of age" ceremony ke? did you all have to be in huts in the forest and then the wise old men talked to you about the secrets of manhood, and then you all had to jump over cows or something and then you were all flogged, and then....oh, sorry, fantasy taking over!

lol! I have never used a urinal (it discriminates against us ladies) but from what I see on tv it probably is okay to keep talking, as long as you know the other dudes. It would be scary to talk to a random stranger at the urinal.

Thanks for stopping by my blog recently, come by often!

@nyemoni- funny ke?
araceli- Are you a fan of The King and I ?
bitchy- I'll pass the info on, if I ever get any answers
@anonymous- sometimes the paste gets stuck in places tongues cannot reach :-)
cham- wish I could say yes, but what with work and friends and the usual round of summer parties and family visiting from Naija, I'm rushed clean off my feet- we'll see sha
@snuffleupagus, I already said I wished I could do your job but know that a) I'd be crap at it and b)I'd probably kill myself
@waffarian- nothing so exotic. You've been reading too many "African tales"
@solomonsydelle- hmm, I can see using a urinal might pose certain difficulties if you're female. I suspect Americans keep talking but you know "us" English are more repressed. And btw, how do you keep three blogs going at the same time?

Urinal? IF you are drunk, you can do what ever you want, however you want. You probably won't remember afterwards. If (relatively) sober? By all means continue a conversation started outside, but NEVER strike up conversation when doing the business. If nothing else, you may lose concentration and...erm...aim elsewhere.

Any information concerning those wastrels masquerading as the Royals is too much btw ;-)

UKNaija, interesting! I often worry about the food-in-teeth thing too, as I am particularly prone to it. I was tagged by Jeremy about a month ago and haven't gotten around to it. Nawa for this last anonymous raving and incoherent dissertation of a comment! D'an iska....

@jaja- one of the problems with blogging anonymously is that you have to avoid potential giveaway clues...
@talatu- any solutions? And yes, that anonymous is a real dan'iska. Keeps popping up from time to time
